Well, I've finally accepted that summer is about gone and that fall is pretty much here to stay. I do love the fall for it's coziness, but spring and summer are still my favorite times of year and I have to get used to the idea that it's over. The hardest thing for me to "let go of" is the long, long days. I love summer evenings that seem to go on for hours...the warm (ok, hot) summer nights when we play outside 'till it's dark, which is way past bedtime. I think I suffer from a slight bit of seasonal affective disorder...I always feel a bit sad when it starts getting dark earlier and earlier...it's a difficult transition for me. But the thought of the holidays approaching is what gets me through!
In the spirit of embracing change I whipped up this little Halloween decoration for my house. I think it will look cute with some mini-pumpkins on the table in my entryway.
Here's to fall...and Halloween, which is just around the corner!

That is so fun! And it looks so easy and stylish!

Aren't you clever? That is just soooo cute! I don't get much scrapping done this day so maybe I can put the supplies to use in decorating. Thanks for the inspiration.

Darling, and I say hoooooray for fall! Maybe it would be different if I had AC. And I'm glad I'm not the only one with Halloween decorations up in September. They will come down just in time for the Christmas stuff.

So cute Shelly - I saw that idea in a recent Pottery Barn magazine and thought it was so cute! Wouldn't it be cute as a monogram too? Hmmmmmmm. Love the lampshade too!

I love that Fall is in the Air! I do miss the warm weather and long summer nights, too, but there is something about Fall that is wonderful. I love the decorations, love that the kids are in school, and love that it means the holidays are right around the corner!
