The time just flies by, doesn't it? I wish I had about 24 more hours in a day. I would probably spend them all in my "space," scrapbooking, blogging, eating chocolate and letting my kids trash the basement right behind me while I read blogs all day and got fat(ter). Maybe I should be careful what I wish for...
Our trip to UT was so fun. We had plenty of time to relax in the georgeous weather, hang out with my parents, Heath's Grandma, and Lindsey and Darren. I got to do some shopping, and we ate at our favorite place ever. An all-around good trip! One of the places I shopped at was a place called Cost Plus World Market, in Park City. My friend, Lisa, introduced me to some imported candies that we can't get here in IF, so I stopped and bought out the store...well, not really, but I bought a lot of candy. My favorite is this:
If you like chocolate and coconut, this is the candy bar for you. Seriously. To Die For. Calling it a candy bar just doesn't even do it justice. It is sooo good. Is it just me, or am I constantly talking about treats on this here little blog? I love my treats, OK?
And, I am so excited to be a part of this. Tiffany asked me to create some layouts (based on her sketches) for her book, Designing with Sketches. It will be my first time "getting published" and I am beyond thrilled to be a part of it! So, ask for this book wherever you shop for scrap stuff! It is going to be so GREAT! I must admit, I had never really used sketches until I entered the contest she had a few weeks back, but now that I'm working with her sketches I am seeing what a great concept they are! They allow me lots of creativity, with just a touch of direction. It's a good thing! Here's the layout I created for the contest: (Check out her blog to see the sketch it was based on!)
Ok, well. I guess I better go vacuum or something.

What a cute page and cute kids. We have cost plus markets here and I just love them. They always have such fun things that you can't find anywhere else. I find great stocking stuffers there at Christmas and always yummy chocolate in many different shapes and sizes.

Just reading about your fun weekend all together made me sad I missed it. We need a girls weekend since I missed the last one. No kids and good food and shopping.
I love your layout you did. It turned out so cute. But really any page would be cute with those cute faces!! I mean really!!!

Ok, first of all, I LOVE Ritter Sport (but the hazelnut kind... but I'm sure I would love the coconut, too. Hello, coconut!!!)! And secondly, congrats on the publishing opportunity! How awesome is that! And, it's nice to see I'm not the only one who sketches out my pages beforehand! Who knew?
In fact (a little tid-bit about me), in high school, during my government class, I would sit and draw sketches of quilts and different patterns and pieces! And when I started designing and scrapping my bags, I sketched them first. Same with any scrap project, and especially lately, with any digi page! Man, I wish I knew about the contest, because I would have rocked her world!!! Hahaha, just kidding!
Glad to have you back and super glad you had fun! Did you make a run for Anthro??? Love that place...
